Church. A previous tenant of the building on the property built a deck that encroached on City space. The Parking Authority previously moved to execute a lease with Clover, LLC, for the portion of the deck that is on city property and to authorize Slay to negotiate that lease execution. Among the terms included were that if the business name or ownership changes, the deck must be removed from City property. The lease was for 10 years at a sum of $2,000/year. All terms were agreed upon and the lease was executed on April 11, 2022. Jessica Walker gave an update: 1. The Arts Alley project and custom Bruce Larson artwork that the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation is proposing to dedicate to the City. That artwork acceptance may have to come through the Parking Authority depending on placement of the foundation; 2. Church Street progress and parking that will be affected during the next phase; 3. A request by Planning Director Hunter Simmons that one member of the Parking Authority serve as a group representative to a possible committee that is being formed by the Planning Commission. The gathered members agreed to appoint someone at the next scheduled meeting, provided more information is given on the committee demands associated with the request. The gathered members discussed the continuing vacancy on the Parking Authority. The next meeting was set for 8:15 a.m. July 18th at the Fairhope Museum of History. The meeting was adjourned at 8:46 a.m.
