Mr. Moore and Mr. Ingram representing Moore Engineering Co., were also present. The following resolution was unanimously adopted: WHEREAS, The Airport board has been advised by FAA that due to changes in minimum clearance requirements that the Federal Grant at the Fairhope Municipal Airport would be held up pending the acquisition of approximately five acres over -flight easement at the north end of the runway. WHEREAS, Our engineer informs us that the FAA made no such re- quirements at the outset of the project and until the near com- pletion date, no mention was made and periodic payments from FAA had been made. During the entire period of time covered by this project several personnel changes were made in FAA of- fices and apparently communication between the varuous admin- istrators regarding this over -flight area was lacking. BE IT RESOLVED that the only alternative left is to acquire the over -flight easement or move the runway lights southward five hundred feet. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the latter alternative would com- pletely nullify the effect of the entire project. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Airport Board by this re- solution, recommends that the over -flight easement be acquired. There being no further business, meeting adjourned. 0, ffisile'. rup. 54
