Reschedule the 11 July 2005 regular City Council meeting to Wednesday, 13 July 2005 due to the threat of Hurricane Dennis. 2. Award a Disaster Debris Removal And Disposal Services Contract. M. CONSENT TO HOLDING OF MEETING The undersigned member of the City Council of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, do hereby acknowledge service of the Notice and Call of Special Meeting hereinabout set forth and do hereby consent to the holding of such meeting as such time in such place for the purpose set forth therein. 3585 STATE OF ALABAMA )( COUNTY OF BALDWIN )( The City Council, City of Fairhope, met in Special City Council meeting at 4:00 p.m., Fairhope Municipal Complex Council Chamber, 161 North Section Street, Fairhope, Alabama 36532, on Friday, 08 July 2005. Present were Council President Robert C. Gentle, Councilmembers: Debbie W. Quinn, Daniel Stankoski, Cecil Christenberry, and Michael A. Ford; City Clerk/Treasurer. Mayor Timothy M. Kant and City Attorney Marion E. Wynne were absent. There being a quorum present, Council President Gentle called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and Councilmember Christenberry gave the invocation. Councilmember Christenberry moved to reschedule the 11 July 2005 regular City Council meeting to Wednesday, 13 July 2005 due to the threat of Hurricane Dennis. Seconded by Councilmember Ford, motion passed unanimously by voice vote. The City of Fairhope opened bids for: Identification: DISASTER DEBRIS REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL SERVICES CONTRACT Bids must be returned by: July 8. 2005 at: 9:00 a.m. This contract will only be awarded under the following circumstances 1. Provided that we have a storm or disaster 2. The state and/or this area is declared an emergency by the Governor. 3. The City does reserve the right to cancel this contract in writing within the 2-year period. 4. The City is in no way responsible for any quantity. 5. Seconded by Councilmember Christenberry, motion passed unanimously by voice vote.
