The City Council, City of Fairhope, met in regular session at
5:30 p.m.; Fairhope Municipal complex Council Chamber;
161 North Section Street, Fairhope, Alabama 36532; on
Monday. 15 May 2000.
Present were Mayor James P. Nix; Councilmembers: John V.
Duck, Michael A. Ford, Debbie W. Quinn, and Jeanette Puckett; City
Clerk Geniece W. Johnson. Councilmember William H. Jones and
City Attorney Marion E. Wynne were absent.
There being a quorum present, Mayor Nix called the meeting to
order. Councilmember Duck moved to approve minutes of the
08 May 2000, regular meeting. Seconded by Councilmember Quinn,
motion passed unanimously.
Council reviewed an application for a Beer/Wine Off Premises
License by James E. Nicherson, dba Uncle Sam's Super Stop,
Located at 859 Fairhope Avenue. Councilmember Ford moved to
approve the issuance of the license. Seconded by Councilmember
Puckett, motion passed unanimously.
One 6-year term appointment for Planning and Zoning
Commission. Councilmember Duck moved to reappoint Larry Green.
Seconded by Councilmember Quinn, motion passed unanimously.
One 5-year term appointment for Recreation Board.
Councilmember Ford moved to reappoint Bob Callahan. Seconded
by Councilmember Duck, motion passed unanimously.
Two 2-year term appointment for Airport Board.
Councilmember Puckett moved to reappoint Andy Huggins, and Khim
Vira. Seconded by Councilmember Duck, motion passed
unanimously. Mayor Nix open the floor for nominations to replace
Robert Colling (Passed). Councilmember Puckett nominated Anita
Drummond. Seconded by Councilmember Quinn. The term of this
appointment will be for 2-years.

Two 6-year term appointment for Industrial Board.
Councilmember Duck moved to reappoint Mike Baugh and Gary
Moore. Seconded by Councilmember Quinn, motion passed
unanimously.
One 3-year term appointment for Organic School Board.
Councilmember Duck moved to reappoint Pat Quinn. Seconded by
Councilmember Puckett. Motion passed by the following votes: AYE -
Duck, Ford, Nix, and Puckett. NAY -None ABSTAINED -Quinn.
There being no further business to come before the City
Council the meeting was duly adjourned at 5:36 p.m.
