Special Called Meeting
April 30, 2018
The Fairhope Airport Authority met for a Special Called Meeting April 30, 2018 at
6:00PM in the Delchamps Suite Room 1, in the Civic Center at 161 N Section
Street.
Present: Joe McEnerney, Chairman, Pam Caudill, Vince Boothe, Will Bruce, and
Jack Burrell. Chip Groner and Ray Hix were absent. Also present was Josh Myrick,
Attorney. Cynthia A Boothe took the minutes.
Discuss the sale of land owned by the Airport Authority: Joe McEnerney stated
that the Airport Authority has been approached by Goodwyn, Mills and Caywood
(GMC) about purchasing 11.4 acres of property on the west side of the Airport as
stream mitigation. He then introduced Lee Walters of GMC to explain the request.
Mr. Walters stated that in 2014 GMC had purchased 5 acres of stream bank on
the west side of the Airport and they now are interested in purchasing an
additional 11.4 acres of the stream bank in to expand the stream mitigation bank.
After a question and answer period and a group discussion a motion was made by
Jack Burrell to allow Joe McEnerney as Chairman of the Fairhope Airport
Authority to negotiate the sale price for this transaction, second by Will Bruce and
unanimously passed.
There being no further business, a motion was made be Jack Burrell to adjourn
the meeting, second by Pam Caudill and unanimously passed at 6:20PM.
