Present: Dr. Mullins, A!r. Niemeyer, Mr. Lacey Mr. "l i tzn-del,
Mr. Russell Mr. flacon, Mr. Gaston, kr. Moore,
Mr. Dyson, kr. Yohn, Mr. ``fmrl ey, Mr. Ferguson, and
Mr. Robbins.
Minutes of July meeting were read.
Hangar construction was discussed. Mr. Russell agreed that
AAA would construct suitable T-han ars or one large hangar
building, and agreed to present a letter to the Roard stating
AAA's intentions.
Mr. Niemeyer reported that Mr. Mortimer had spread the ferti-
t izer.
The Chairman noted receipt of 1200.00 from the City to be
used for erosion control.
Mayor Macon agreed to contact REA utilities concerning mercury
vapor lamp for entrance road.

l rorted that Mr. Gulley had -inspected the
airport anbeacon was low and also the erosion
problem.
It was noted that the center line stripe had been painted.
Extension of the present runway was discussed. application
for same having been made in .April- the Chairman noted FAA
grant in amount of '68,000.00 for V3 ft. extension.
Procurement of additional land for this extension was discussed.
Mr. 4ck Poore agreed to discuss additional footage needed
with Per. Ed Vlarley, agent. Mr. `{larley requested a letter of
intent as to amount of square footage needed. Mr. Ack Moore
agreed to supply the Board with the necessary information for
this letter.
Dr. Mullins suggested that Auburn Aeronautical School be
contacted concerning type of aircraft which may be accommo-
dated with runway of 4100' or 5000'.
Mr. Lacey moved to pursue a 5,000 foot runway. Mr. Niemeyer
2nd. Motion carried.
Mr. Witznadel reported that Mr. Max Young was the new flight
instructor at the Airport.
Mr. Russell agreed to meet again with the Board in the near
future to discuss hangar rental fees.
Mr. Niemeyer moved to adjourn. Carried.
