COUNTY OF BALDWIN
The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular
session at the Adult and Tourist Recreation Building on Morphy
Avenue at 7:30 P.M., on Monday, August 99 1971 with the follow-
ing members present: -Mayor R. C. Macon, Councilmen: James A. Nix,
John A. Robertson, Robert H. Cowen, Henry G. Bishop and Same E.
Box.
Minutes of previous regularm meeting were approved.
Motion by .Councilman Nix seconded by Councilman Robertson
that the City Superintendent draw up specifications and ask for
bids on 20 transformers. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Bishop seconded by Councilman Nix that
City advertise for public hearing on rezoning From R- 1 to B-
Lot 12, Block 3, Oswalt Additon. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Robertson seconded by Councilman Blh op that
City Clerk be authorized to bill for -.paving that is now completed
and others as they are completed. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Bishop seconded by Councilman Cowen
that bills be approved for payment. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Bishop seconded by Councilman Cowen
that City Clerk be authorized to cash one 1970 Street Improve-
ment Certificate. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Box seconded by Councilman Nix that
City ask for bids on truck load of 800 Cast Iron pipe. Motion car-
ried.
Motion by Councilman Box seconded by Councilman Nix that
City ask for bids on truck load of coated and wrapped gas pipe.
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Box seconded by Councilman Cowen that
City buy necessary fencing from Schultz Intbrnational and boiler
tubing from Pinto Island Co., for fencing City dump. Motion car-
ried.
Motion by Councilman Box seconded by Councilman Cowen that Mike
Rejczyk and Martin Nelson attend Water School for four days at the
University of Alabama. Motion carried.

Motion by Councilman Bishop seconded by Councilman Nix that the
License Inspector be authorized and empowered to collect all bills
due the City that are 90 days in arrears. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Box seconded by Councilman Robertson
that Jack Kirk attend Seminar in Montgomery on August 109 1971.
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Nix seconded by Councilman Cowen that
the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
