AIRPORT BOARD
May 14, 1965
1:00 P. M. - Airport
Present: Dr. Mullins Mr. Niemeyer, Mrs. Lapeyrouse,
Mr. Dekle, hr. Dyson, Mr. Witznadel.
Absent: Mr. Lacey
Minutes of the April 6 meeting were read.
Dr. Mullins reported that grass seed had been planted.
Mr. Niemeyer said that Mr. Andy Mortimer wouldspread
fertilizer as soon as weather permits.
City installation of the entrance road lights was declared
not feasible. Mr. Dekle said AAA would purchase a mercury
vapor lamp for the entrance road.

look into this further for discussion at a later date.

Mr. Witznadel stated that he is still trying to secure
funds for painting the center line stripe, and also that
the volt meter test given by Riviera proved to be
negative.
The Chairman noted receipt of a 2nd gasoline tax refund
check from the State in the amount of $140.16.
Mr. Witznadel told the Board of his newly acquired
position as F.A.A. inspector, which authorizes him to
give pilot examinations. He also discussed a school for
prospective flyers which is now beginning at the Airport
under his instruction.
Dr. Mullins discussed his telephone conversation with Mr.
Rountree today and reported that Mr. Rountree was not
in favor of runway extension at the present time.
Mr. Niemeyer moved to adjourn. Carried.
