HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-19-2011 Regular Meeting211 The Fairhope Airport Authority met Tuesday, June 19, 2011, at 4:30 PM at the City Administration Building, 161 N. Section Street. Present: Chuck Zunk, Chairman. Members: Rod Platt, Charlie Bassett, Joe McEnerney, Dan Stankoski, and Howard Hadley. Attorney: David Bagwell. Absent: Pam Caudill, and Gregg Mims, City Administrator. Pandora Heathcoe, City Administrative Assistant took the minutes. The minutes of the June 21 st meeting were considered and duly approved on motion by 1st Rod Platt, 2"d by Howard Hadley and unanimously carried. 2012 AIP Project for West Side Update — Chuck Zunk reported the application for the AIP project has been submitted to the FAA. There are more funds available than initially anticipated. As Chairman, Chuck Zunk requested a motion to modify the resolution at the previous meeting giving him (as Chairman) the authority to sign contracts and grant applications up to $400,000. This new resolution would raise the amount in contracts and grant applications from $400,000 to $750,000. This new resolution was duly approved on motion by 1st Howard Hadley, 2"d by Charlie Bassett and unanimously carried. Management Services Contract for T-Hangars Update — Howard Hadley reported no new information and that negotiations were to continue. Treasurer Report — Committee members were given copies of the most recent financial statements. As reported in previous meetings, Chuck Zunk emphasized that expense were showing high because improvements have begun and cost is coming from construction account; however reimbursement from FAA grants will replenish those accounts. Chuck Zunk reported that one CD had matured at Citizens Bank; however the bank did not give a high renewal rate. Therefore, the CD was renewed at First National Bank which offered a 12 month/ 120 BPS. Tony Mills, RBC Bank met with Rod Platt and Chuck Zunk. New Business — Continental North Building Chuck Zunk reported his meeting on Monday with the architect for Continental Motors. The architect explained Continental's vision of interior, access and parking plans. They will have to use the truck dock for the time being and it is reported that they may need additional space than previously planned. Chuck is to meet with them in several weeks to review their complete list of needs. There being no further business, on motion to adjourn by 1" Rod Platt, 2nd by -Howard Hadley and unanimously carried, the meeting was duly adjourned at 5:301; M. The Fairhope Airport Authority DID NOT meet in the month of September 2011, at 4:30 PM in the Delchamps Room, City Administration Building, 161 N. Section Street.
