HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-28-1949 Regular Meeting (2)STATE OF ALABAMA County of Baldwin The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope met in regular session Monday, February 2P, 194q with the following members present: Mayor, T.J.Klumpp, Councilmen: M. 0. Berglin, J. T. Bradford, C. B. Niemeyer and Ira N, Steele. Councilman Overton belm absent. The minutes of the previous regular meeting sere read and approved. Motion by Councilman Niemeyer secon6edsY� Councilran Berglin that the charge fpij sprinkler terns shall be as follows: Five cents ,., 'per head payable yearly in advance. Number of heads connected to be checked by the v,ater Departr:ent on December lst of epee year. The owner of the prer"ises shall pay the total cost to the Town for connecting with the Town Water Mains, Moticn carried. Yotion by Councilman Bradford seconded by Councilman Niemeyer that all connections with the Torn Electric System or with its rater or Sewerage System shall be made by the Town. The costs t'_-.ereof, incl,iding labor and r:aterial, shall be pair: by the property owner or person for whoa such connection is made, with a minimum of $5.00, such costs to be paid before service is connect- ed. Motion carried. The followin Ordinance was introduced by Councilman Niemeyer it being read in full the same being as follows: Ordinance # 1E9 It was moved by Councilman Berglin and seconded by Councilman Steele that all rules and regulations of the Statutes of the Town Council of the Town of Fairhope which nigh prevent, unless suspended, the immediate consider<,,tion and final passage and adoption of said ordinance at this meeting. The question being put upo._ the adoption of said motion and the suspension of the said rules and re1,lat- ions, t,e roll was called with the following results: Voting Aye: Mayor Klumpp, Councilmen Berglin, Bradford, Niemeyer and Steele. Vo'."ing Nay tdone. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Councilman Steele therefore roved that the said Ordinance be finally passes,_ and be adopted as introduced. Councilman Bradford seconded the motion. The question bean- put upon the final passage and adoption of the said Ordinance,;he roll was called with the following results: Voting Aye: Mayor Klumpp, Councilmen Berglin, Bradford, Niemeyer and Steele. Voting Nay; none. Thereupon, the Mayor declared said motion carried and the Ordinance finally passed and adopted. The Mayor thereupon sinned said Ordinance in approval of the same.
