HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-18-2008 Regular MeetingThe Fairhope Airport Authority met Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 3:30 PM at the City Administration Building, 161 N. Section Street. Present: Charles Zunk, Chairman; Dan Stankoski, Joe McEnerney, Charlie Bassett. Betty Rivenbark, Secretary. Absent: Ken Knutsen, Pam Caudill, David Bagwell, Attorney The minutes of the October 21, 2008 meeting were considered and duly approved as presented on motion by Charlie Bassett, 2"d by Joe McEnerney and unanimously carried. A discussion was held on meeting times and at the request of Councilman Stankoski the meeting time was changed to 4:30 PM on the third Tuesday of each month at the Mayor's Conference Room. Route 32 drainage project report — Chuck explained to Dan about the County asking for easements on Hwy 32 for two culverts on airport land and the events that had taken place to this point. He said we had agreed to their request to widen the culverts in two places but had given them language in the agreement asking for indemnification for the City. So far we have not heard back from them. Resolution for check signing authority - Chuck explained that in the past two people were required to sign checks on the city accounts, those people being Joe McEnerney or Chuck Zunk representing the Airport Authority and Nancy Wilson or Council representative, Mike Ford. He was asking for a motion to continue with this practice with the only change being now Dan Stankoski would sign for the City. Charlie Bassett moved to approve, Dan Stankoski 2"d the motion and it carried unanimously. Treasurer's Report — The monthly treasurer's report was looked at and was found to be in order. Joe explained how it was presented monthly to the authority on a monthly basis. FY2009 Budget — Chuck outlined the proposed budget for the Airport Authority and said we are probably going to be pretty close to the money. The Festival of Flight was discussed and the possibility that it may not happen in 2009 due to money shortage all around. Charlie told of plans by Segars Aero to host a luncheon Friday and invited all to attend. There b 'ng no further bu ' ess, the meeting was duly ourned at 4:20 PM.
