change being it would be a one day event. He said Wayne Gruenloh and
the County Commission told him to not let up, all the Commissioners are in
favor of it. For the festival 2007 the County gave $29,500 and the City
$51,000. He said King Palmer has expressed an interest in putting it on for
the City and he has all the information that has previously been used.
He said the City and County are trying to keep it alive but that he will have to
get commitments up front, there is a chance of private endorsement but he
would like the endorsement of the airport authority to go forward with the
request to get a commitment from the City and County for funding. Charlie
said he would write a letter to the City and County for commitments on
funding for a 2008 Festival of Flight. A unanimous vote was given for him to
pursue this issue with the City and County.
Meeting was duly adjourned at 4:50 P.M.
