COUNTY OF BALDVIIN
The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope met in regular
session at the Town Hall, Monday May 229 1939 at 7:30
P.li. with the following members presents Howard Ruge,
Mayor, Councilmen: M.O. Berglin, Sam Dyson, H.P. Kamper,
C.A. Gaston and J.O. Stimpson, the same constituting the
full membership of the Town douncil.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
Committee was appointed by the Mayor to confer with the
American.Legion in reference to the State Convention to
be held in July. Committee appointed by the Mayor don-
sisting of Councilmen Sam Dyson and M.O. Berglin.
It was moved by Councilman M.O. Berglin and seconded by
Councilman Sam Dyson that the Single Tax Corportation's
request for the construction of a fourfoot sidewalk on
the north side of Fairhope Ave. between Section and Ban-
croft Streets same to be of bituminous material, be grant-
ed. Also,; that the request for a right-of-way easement
40 f t. wide to provide access throught the Corportations
holdings at the west end of Block 39, Div. 1 be referred
to a committee appointed by the Mayor. The Mayor appoint-
ed Councilmen Dyson and Stifapson on said committee.
Motion carried.
It was moved by Council C.A. Gaston and seconded by Council-
man M.O. Berglin that the City Attorney be instructed to
draft a parking ordinance of tbzee hours on certain streets
as discussed. During the hours of 7 A.M. to 6 P.M. on
week days. Motion carried.
It was moved by Councilman C.A. Gaston and seconded by
C ouncilamn Sam Dyson that 'Eft3:rn Berglin be appointed
Assistant Town Clerk at a salary of v645.00 per month.
Motion carried.
It was duly moved and sadonded that the meeting adjourn.
