4:OOPM at the City Administration Building, 161 N. Section Street
Present: Colton Coile, Chairman; Chuck Zunk, Jim Garrett, Joe McEnerney
Mike Ford. Betty Rivenbark, Secretary. Rusty Rowland from the State
Troopers was visiting. Absent Mike Baugh, Ken Knutsen
The minutes of the June 13. 2006, meeting were considered and duly
approved as written.
Runway Construction — Chuck reported that we are down to the finish.
No date on the final inspection, he said Dan said they will do a punch list
and then schedule the inspection. A meeting was held with the contractor
and when we accept everything we still have a one year warranty. Chuck
asked if we have a retainer and answered yes.
Review of ALP — Colton showed all the proposed new Airport Layout Plan
and a discussion was held on what we might want to do in the future
regarding land acquisition, corporate hangars, etc.
Public Safety Hanger — Jim said he had gone over everything with Rusty
and Chris Browning regarding the lease. There is a lease escalation clause
5% per annum. He said Chris Gill is suppose to be working on it today.
and we need to get before City Council on July 24th meeting.
T — hangar status — Chuck reported he has gotten seven checks for $250.
deposit for space in the new T-hangar. He said they went out to top 20
people on the waiting list and existing tenants. He said that he is right
where he expected to be. The cost for rent in new hangar would be $320 vs
$150 now which will include insurance and CAM. As far as buildings, they
have been ordered but has not heard shipping date. Discussion was held
on different phases of construction and financing.
Safety and Security Plan — Chuck said he and Jim reviewed it and fire and
police departments have looked at it and it has been tweaked. Further
discussion led to a motion by Joe McEnerney2nd by Jim Garrett to accept.
Motion carried unanimously.
Festival of Flight 2007 — Colton reported the success of the '06 festival and
said they plan to go before the city council to report on July 24th and talk
about plans for the 2007 festival. That a two day show is planned the 3rd
Saturday in May and they need to get their budget request in now.
Airport Authority Budget — Tabled for thirty days. The Authority went into
executive session to talk about litigation at 5:20PM
New/Old business — There being none meeting was duly adjourned at 5:25
PM.
