County of Baldwin
The Water Works and Sewer Board of the City of Fairhope met
in regular session at the City Hall , August 11, 1954 with
the following members present: Chairman R. Roy Moyers, L. A.
Berglin, Sr., A. C. Mannich and C. B. Niemeyer City Manager.
The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and
approved as read.
Motion by Mr. Mannich seconded by Mr. Berglin that the follow-
ing bills be approved for payment: Motion carried.

Motion by 2waml=m MR. Mannich seconded by Mr. Berglin that
the City Manager be authorized and directed to secure the
services of Smith, Dukes and Buckalew to make the annual audit.
Motion.carried.
Motion by Mr. Berglin seconded by Mr. Mannich that the following
Resolution be adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE WATER AND S5YER BOARD OF THE CITY OF
FIIRHOPE:
V'iiHEREAS, Marie Moore, Secretary and Treasurer for the Water and
Sewer Board is going to be temporarily absent from her duties and
it is necessary to have some designated person to carry on her
duties during her absence
NOW THEREFORE Margaret Smith is hereby designated and authorized
to act as Secretary and Treasurer for the Water and Sewer
Board during her absence and her signature as Acting Sec-
retary and Treasurer shall have the same force and effect
on all official acts, including checks drawn on the Water
and Sewer funds as the signature of the appointed Secretary
and Treasurer.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
given to the Bank of Fairhope.
The Board agreed to run 1" water line to the LaTorre property
at 410 Blue Island Avenue providing they furnish the pipe.
The water line to be a part of the City's water system and after
one year there would be no refunds to Mrs. LaTorre from customers
connecting to this line.
It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn in
unadjourned session to meet at the City Hall, Wednesday,
August 25, 1954 at the City Hall.
