HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-14-1951 Regular MeetingSTATE OF ALABAMA County of Baldwin The Water and Sewer Board of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the City Hall, Wednesday, November 14, 1951 with the following members present; C. B. Niemeyer, City Manager; R. Roy Moyers; L. A. Berglin, Sr. and Arthur Mannich. The minutes of tie previous regular meeting were read and approved -as read. Motion by Mr. M-innich seconded by hLr. Berglin that the follot,aing bills be approved for payment: Ruffles Company 3.35 May Supply Company 7.76 McKean Paint & Hdve. 1.80 Simmons Feed & Seed .90 Gaston Motor Co. 1.50 Smith, Dukes & Buckalew 285.00 O.Forster & Sons 46.20 uaittichen Chemical Co. 37.50 Gvestern Auto 12.53 Harper Foundry & Mach. Co. 38.87 huge's Service Station 4.15 Neptune Meter Co. 546.38 Ponder Co. 7.65 Square D. Co. 4.84 Calgon, Inc. 76.25 M. G. Aldridge, Contractor 370.80 Pay Roll: Weekly 571.27 George Dyson 165;90 Mr. Olson met with the Board to discuss the possibility of running a sewer line 240' on Gayfer Street. No action will be taken until an estimate of cost etc. can be made. Motion by Mr. Mannich seconded by Mr. Berglin that the Chairman of the Board bgauthorized and directed to enter into a contract with Layne -Central to drill a 600 gallon v,ell according to plans and specifications submitted to the Boars. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Berglin seconded by Mr. Mannich that the following resolution be adopted: Be it resolved by the Water and Sep--er Board of the City of Fairhope that WHEREAS Marie Moore, the Clerk for the City is going to be temporarily absent from her duties and it is necs- sary to have some designated person to carry on her duties during her absence Now Therefore Doris Creamer is hereby authorized to act as Clerk for the City during her absence and her sig- nature shall have the same force and effect on all offic- ial acts, including checks drairn on the Water and Sei°,,er Funds, as the sJgnature of the appointed clerk. Be it further resolved that a copy of this res- olution be given the Bank of Fairhope. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mannich seconded by Mr. Berglin that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
