Absent: John Baker, Hank Mullins, Jenny Douglass, Sherry Sullivan. Rich Mueller of Watermark Design was also present. The minutes of the March 21, 2007 meeting were duly approved as written on motion by Vann Saltz, 2nd by Charlie Langham. Eddie gave an update on the Tennis facility and said it is progressing, this week they are putting cushion down and almost through with interior lights, that we won't have lights until the building is built. He said the walking track was finished today and they are getting ready to put the fence in. The parking lot will be 100 X 200 and American Asphalt is going to put it in. Barnwell Fields — Eddie said the two football fields are ready for irrigation next week and will bid out the sod and bid out the fence. He said everything is progressing, and in about 2-3 weeks will be swimming in the new pool. He said graduation went well for Daphne and Fairhope, we got a lot of compliments on the field, and the new fencing made everything look better. He reported that he, Mike Ford, Rich and Don Gordon met with the Mayor and they talked about the proposed new building and skate park plaza. Further discussion was held between the members and Rich Mueller and afterwards it was decided that the board did want to hire a Construction Manager at Risk rather than just a Construction Manager to oversee the new building. A motion was made by Vann Saltz to recommend to the Mayor and Council that the City hire a Construction Manager at Risk to oversee the new construction of the building at Volanta Park and further recommends that Don Gordon be that Construction Manager as he was hired to construct the pool building and the new building will essentially be the same. Mr. Gordon has agreed to keep the terms of his contract the same as they were 3'/2 years ago. Derek Thomas 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously. This will be brought to the City Council at their May 31st meeting and Mike Ford and Charlie Langham will talk to them at the work session on that date. There being no further business meeting was duly adjourned at 7.30 PM. I /o
