the City Administration Building, 161 N. Section Street
Present: Sue Mason, Chairman; Mike Ford, Khim Vira, members, Betty Rivenbark,

After review, the January minutes were approved as written.
Ms. Mason reported that the airport project has slowed down right now, that acquiring
the property has been a problem and that Allen Timbes will be in town to meet with the
council before the meeting Thursday evening and explain where we are and that it is
time to move forward. Further discussion on the different properties was held and then
it was explained that first we needed to pass a motion recommending to the Council
that they proceed with condemnation. Khim Vira moved to pass this recommendation
on to the council. Sue Mason 2"d and motion passed unanimously.
Sue also discussed with the board the Teledyne situation. That beginning with last
June they had requested a reduction in rent due to economics and that she anticipated
this continuing. That she is trying to get with Tut Wynne, the City's Attorney, to see
what we can do about getting back the front part of the office building that has not been
occupied since Teledyne took over and which under the lease they are suppose to be
using. She has been unsuccessful in contacting Tut so far, but will continue to do so.
Under new business, a request was made to get a sense of the board on naming the
airport in honor of Sonny Callahan. Discussion was held on the many things he has
done for Fairhope including projects at the airport, and the Eastern Shore and the
consensus was that we would like to do this. Mike Ford moved to recommend naming
the airport in honor of Sonny Callahan, Khim Vira 2"d the motion and it carried
unanimously.
There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
