and at least 3-4 officials. They charge $65.00 per child(but have scholarships for those
who can't afford it) and furnish jersey, helmet and shoulder pads. They were thanked
for coming and were asked to get with Eddie about working out their schedule. They
were also reminded that it is their responsibility to clean up after themselves.
Vaughn Kelly and Suzanne Trice were also recognized as guests tonight. Vaughn said
he also is having a youth football league, and he will bring in a copy of his liability

just one youth league. That we have one league for every other sport playing on the
fields. Coach Sharp also said it would be good to be working with one group. Vaughn
said that this is going to be his last year, it is getting to be too much. Eddie mentioned
that there is a National Youth Football Federation that they could join that would be
beneficial to them. Everyone was thanked for coming and working with the youth.

The bills were approved for payment on motion by Larry Thomas, 2nd by Trish

Eddie gave a report and mentioned: Founders - doing real good, that they have
redressed and play will start on new fields on September W'. He mentioned the high
cost of grass seed that we are having to pay and that in the future we might could
solicit donations from the leagues to cover the cost of overseeding. He said he has
mentioned this to different people to get their thoughts on it. Vann mentioned that the
1
soccer association has been breaking even at best, maybe with new fields and one
concession stand be able to do better. A report was given on the loss of employee,
Gary Parish, and how Eddie and Phil got together and decided to assign each
employee the responsibility of a specific area. That they are hoping this will work better
than just having one guy in charge of others. He said we are still busy - fall football,
youth football, volleyball, soccer about to start - that we are not slowing down even with
the pool closing labor day. He said that the high school is using the pool in the
afternoons.
A letter of request was presented from the soccer association asking for a top room
over the planned concession stand at Founders Park. It was determined that the
money is available in the bond issue to go ahead and bill it so no problem in approving
that request.
Mike mentioned again, did Coach Sharp know what the status was of turning over part
of the fields in perpetuity at the high school to the city. Had he been involved in any
more discussions or meetings? Coach Sharp said no, he understood that Debbie
Quinn was working on it, getting a grant to make it happen. Mike told him that nothing
had been presented to the Mayor or Council about it.
There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
