He said he has mentioned this to different people to get their thoughts on it. Vann mentioned that the 1 soccer association has been breaking even at best, maybe with new fields and one concession stand be able to do better. A report was given on the loss of employee, Gary Parish, and how Eddie and Phil got together and decided to assign each employee the responsibility of a specific area. He said we are still busy - fall football, youth football, volleyball, soccer about to start - that we are not slowing down even with the pool closing labor day. He said that the high school is using the pool in the afternoons. A letter of request was presented from the soccer association asking for a top room over the planned concession stand at Founders Park. It was determined that the money is available in the bond issue to go ahead and bill it so no problem in approving that request. Mike mentioned again, did Coach Sharp know what the status was of turning over part of the fields in perpetuity at the high school to the city. Had he been involved in any more discussions or meetings? Coach Sharp said no, he understood that Debbie Quinn was working on it, getting a grant to make it happen. Mike told him that nothing had been presented to the Mayor or Council about it. There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
