At this time Eddie reported on the work at the new fields, said he worked the day
after Thanksgiving with Dan Boone, Joey and another worker. He said they had
planned to work Saturday and it rained all day. He said he has found a place to
get free dirt out there from Fairfield Place but we will have to haul it. Once again
the weather is slowing us down but hopefully they can use the fields by
February.
Eddie said the plants had been delivered to the new gym but they have not had
time to plant them. Mike asked him what did he need to get all finished. He said
outdoor lights, plants planted . He said that they had put the sign up this week.
He reported further on the utility trailer that we had talked about at the last
meeting. He said they have found one for $1800. He said that we will be
starting jazzercise classes at the gym in January, that at the end of March we
may be able to have evening classes but wants everyone to know we are not in
competition with local exercise places.
The new sign at the road was talked about and we still hope to have it in the
next couple of months. He has gotten commitments on helping defray the cost.
Under old business Larry reported on the repairs to the roofs at the concession
stand and bathrooms at the Volanta fields. He said they almost had to rebuild
the bathrooms.
After discussion on the different major expenses facing us right now Mike was
asked if any of these could come out of the Improvement Account. He said he
would be glad to take it before the council. It was decided to ask for money for
the sound system, computer and roof bills for a total around $5,500.
There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
