Under old business Richard Bass met with Terry Knight after last month's
meeting and he said he had no problem with presenting the board a copy of
the breakdown as to where the funds go and he thinks the Booster Club
would be glad to do the same they will come to the October meeting.
It was reported that the press box and new concession stand are almost
finished and what a good job has been done. A letter of appreciation will
be written to Jerry Anderson and Steve Sloan for their volunteer work.
Richard Bass reported on the meeting that the council had with the teenagers
and that all in all everything went well. He asked Mike Ford his thoughts
about it. The consensus was that they wanted a building a place to hang oul
and that the meeting went well. Rae asked about the liability of having
such a place.
Bob Callahan reported on the money they paid coca -cola for the last year and
it was $5200 so he thinks they are getting their monies worth out of the
scoreboard's they put up.
Under new business, Phil said that the recreation department needs another
pickup truck and he and Eddie are looking for a used one.
Eddie reported he went to a state recreation board meeting and they asked
him serve as District 7 representative. All thought this good for him.
The budget was talked about and was tabled until the October meeting in
hopes we have more information to work with. Eddie said he will get some
figures together for them.
There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
