AIRPORT BOARD
November 23, 1963
Members present: Dr. Mullins, Mr. Lacey, and Mr. Byrne
Tho minutes were read by the Secretary and approved as read.
1. Lowering of wires -- Mr. Byrne reported that the Southern
Bell Tel. Co. has refused to lower lines on the airfield.
The Board agreed to reconsider and defer any action at this
time.
2. Surplus hangars -- Mr. Byrne reported that he had written
to Mr. Fowler and had talked -with Mr. Hipsh and Mr. Forrest.
Mr. Byrne read some of the information received from Hall Metal
Products Co. concerning prices on hangars.
3. Air National Guard -- Mr. Lacey reported that he had
written a letter but. as yet had not received a reply.
4. Base operator -- Dr. Mullins read a letter received from
Mr. Paul Holsen lI concerning Base Operations. He suggested
that a letter be sent to him arranging for an interview at his
convenience.
5. Publicity -- Dr. Mullins suggested that 1 ad be entered
in the A. 0. P. A. PILOT magazine.
6. F. Wayne Hughes -- Mr. Lacey suggested that the Board set
up a time to meet with Hr. Hughes. The Board agreed.
7. Questionnaire -- The Board reviewed the Consensus of
Questionnaire. Dr. Mullins suggested that shuttle service be
added.
8. Mr. Byrne agreed to see that more pictures of the airport
appear in the FAIRHOPF COURIER.
He further agreed to follow up on electricity at the airfield
to test the lights.
The meeting adjourned.
