HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-16-1991 Regular MeetingThe Recreation Board of the City of Fairhope met Monday, December 16,
1991 at 6:00 p.m. at the City Municipal Complex, 161 N. Section Street
Present: Chairman Richard Bass, member Rae Jackson, Betty Rivenbark Secr
tary and Phil Rutherford, Facilities Director
The two members present reviewed the minutes and bills and the secretary
is to poll other members to get approval of same.
Phil reported that Pep had gotten with a pool man and he had told him
that the gas we were using was part of our problem, that maybe we needed
to go back to tablets, even though it was more expensive, to get the pool
working right. Rae said that she thought we agreed that they would close
one day out of the week to let it rest and that we should stick with that
and further that they should not take away from public time in the hours
they cut back. She had said she would be here for the January meeting to
discuss this further with the board.
Phil also brought to the board's attention that the stencils that Robert
has been using have broken so that they cannot be repaired and we need
to consider getting some new ones. The ones that he wants are $500 and
are made of fiberglass so they should last a long time. It was the consensus
of the members present that they could be gotten.
The rules and regulations for the football complex were discussed with
a few more changes being added the secretary to get with the other members
to let them know of these suggestions and then get them out to the ESJWC.
There being no further business to discuss, meeting was duly adjourned.
*Secretary talked to other members of the board regarding bills, fiberglass
stencils and rules & regulations, it was unanimous to proceed with all.
