Richard Bass said he had been asked to see if we could give some money to the high school to pay for the weight room being open this summer. That we had in the past and his research revealed that several other cities in the area recreation departments were supporting this program. This had been brought up before the summer and we had at that time decided we did not have enought money to sponsor it for this summer. Rae said she did not think we should pay for it after the fact that she too had been approached by people who usually attended the arts program that we have sponsored in the past, and wished us to do it again. Discussion led to Richard putting in the form of a motion for the Board to agree to pay the coach at the high school for manning the weight room this summer. There was no second on the motion, so it died for lack of a second. Richard said he wished that we consider doing it again when our funds make it possible to do so. There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
