February 10, 1988 at 5:15 P.M. at the City Municipal Complex,
161 N. Section Street
Present: Chairman Barney Shull, members Rae Jackson,
Stanley Fant, Al Johnson. Phil Rutherford,
Facilities Director, Mike Ford, Council
Liaison and Betty Rivenbark Secretary were
also present
Mr. Shull said the purpose of tonight's meeting was to discuss
the golf carts and read the bids received and the score cards
for the club.
The Board had been presented with a list of bids received on
the golf carts as follows:(50 carts)

The Council had met prior to this meeting and approved the
low bid of Powermaster, Inc., Troy, Al. The Board asked about
the warranties on the different companies and the copper vs.
aluminum motors. Also the 3 vs. 4 wheel carts were discussed.
Al asked why no other Yamahas in the area. Phil said there
were. Barney said he had talked with the Chamber of Commerce
about the tee markers and they will be laid out for the champiol
ship holes and be ready by the 4th of April. Barney also
showed the Board the score card samples and which they wanted
was discussed. The different ones showed ads on the cards,
multi -colored, hole layouts. Stanley Fant moved to go with
a simple card one color, no layout and no ads. Rae Jackson
seconded and motion carried unanimously.
The tables and chairs for the clubhouse were discussed, it
was decided that a butcher block table was what we wanted
but no definite decision was made on the chairs. Phil said
possibly Cliff could build the tables for us.
Phil Nix and John Tice were present to discuss with the Board
the possibility of the Board reversing their decision on
using private carts. The Board explained to them their reason-
ing on not allowing them.
There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
