The Harbor Board met at 4:30 p.m.,
Mayor's Conference Room, 161 N Section St.
Fairhope, Alabama 36532 on
Wednesday, January 24, 2024
Members present: Don Bates, Chris Cunningham, Mikeal Donald (arrived 4:35 p.m.), Scott
Douglass, Skip Jones, and Hobart “Reed” Key. Robert Barry, not present. Councilmember Kevin
Boone present. City of Fairhope staff present: Nicole Love, Grant Coordinator, and Pat White,
Director of Recreation Department. Jenny Opal Wilson, Assistant City Clerk took minutes.
The meeting was called to order at 4:30pm.
Minutes from the July 19, 2023 and October 11, 2023 meetings were presented and approved on a
motion by Skip Jones; seconded by Reed Key, none opposed.
Councilmember Kevin Boone had no comments to report.
Mark Redditt, Harbor Manager provided Report to the Board.
Pat White, Director of Recreation Department, discussed Boat Lifts, Contract Addendum needs to be
updated.
On a motion by Skip Jones; seconded by Reed Key, Board to present a Design Agreement to
Council at Work Session, none opposed.
Skip Jones discussed Harbor Board Utility/Future with Market Study.
On a motion by Skip Jones; seconded by Chris Cunnigham, Present Market Study Proposal to
Council, none opposed.
Don Bates discussed Clean Marina. Mark Redditt and Nicole Love working Project. He
commented Nicole is a blessing to have on board.
Nicole Love discussed vision of Clean Marine, with Ecotourism and Environmental.
Mikeal Donald discussed Dredging. Mark Redditt and Pat White working on Operational Budget.
Councilmember Kevin Boone suggested Dredging to be scheduled on a Work Session in
June/July 2024.
No public comment.
On a motion by Skip Jones; seconded by Scott Douglass, motion to adjourn meeting, none
opposed.
There being no further business to come before the Harbor Board, the meeting was duly adjourned
at 5:30 pm.
