practice. Don suggested that the swim team and the "Y" need
to get together with their schedules and practice and see
what they come up with and then get back with us. They said
they would be glad to do this.
Barney read a letter he had received from the "Y" about the
bill for the chemicals that we had forwarded to them. The
Board said they felt that the "Y" should be responsible for
paying it as agreed and if they wanted to work out something
different for next year to let us know. The Board to submit
a letter outlining the savings since we had installed a gas
clorinator at the pool.
Barney reported that he was almost ready to present something
on the golf course and the recreation center proposed.
The Board talked about redoing the dugouts on the Babe Ruth
field. Phil said we could do it as soon as Vandy was free to
work out there. They set a $4,000 limit to be completed by
January or hire someone to do it. Roy Lloyd so moved, Don
Smith seconded and motion carried unanimously.
Roy brought up at this time the work Tim had done at the
stadium with the flowers and the possibility of lining Greeno
Rd with some trees/shrubs. Don said he thought that we had
a plan on this and he would like to see the plan before he
agreed to anything. All agreed they did not want something
that would require a lot of upkeep.
Eddie reported he had a request from Woodmen of the World
to use the field Oct. 6 for a family day. Phil said fine but
they would have to pay the $50.00 deposit.
The fall girl's softball league was discussed and Margie is
to get a schedule to Eddie on games planned.
Eddie further reported he had been elected one of the officers
of the Eastern Shore Baseball group so we could hope to have
better communication with them.

been stolen and asked if the Board would furnish materials
to build another one. The Board agreed unanimously to do this.
The signs for the nature trail were discussed Phil had someone
from Mobile that will do them. Al said he knew a girl in Foley
that does this work and will ask her to get in touch with us.
The Board authorized $1000.00 to do these signs.
