Present: Chairman Sue Mason; members Robert Colling, Bill Payne, Mike Baugh, Khim Vira and Secretary Betty Rivenbark The minutes of the.,Bmeeting were duly approved as writteh. Sue reported that we had received an amendment to our airport grant #DTFA06-94-A- 80122 in the amount of $27,247.00. She quickly pointed out that this money will be used to help defray the cost overruns on the project though. She recognized Tom Godfrey, who was here today from Teledyne, and asked him to give us a report on how things were going. He said everything okey, although he did have a few concerns. He asked about the gas tank removal and when it might be accomplished. Sue said she had not talked to anybody recently but when the meeting over they could go in and talk to the Mayor about his concerns. He said they are doning some national advertising in several magazaines about their premium engines and industry. He said the storm in early June damaged some of the facing and roof of the north hangar. Sue said that Kemko would be the people that would fix this for them. He said the leaks have been reduced dramatically, most now in the middle hangar and at the end of the month they will probably start working in there. Tom said he is attempting to get the word out about them. That the T-hangars are full and they have a waiting list. Sue asked him if anyone had contacted him about corporate hangars. He said a Norman McAllister had inquired but it was determined he was wanting us to build them for him. Sue said that she had a contact in the past about an individual putting up their own hangar and paying us rent for the land but so far nothing concrete has come of it. Tom asked if there was any possibility of new T-hangars? Sue said maybe. It was determined that Volkert had started doing their survey work at the airport. Mike requested that the city accelerate their efforts to contain the dirt before it all goes into the ditch there. Tom said he had had a few complaints that the dirt blows on a dry windy day. It was determined that we need some ground cover, grass over it. Sue mentioned that we are suppose to have a grass guarantee in our contract for 2 years. Bill Payne and Khim Vira are to look further into what the contract says about this. Sue reported that Clark has not been paying regular and that she is going to look and see this morning how far he has gotten behind in his payments, that we may be dealing with his lawyers again. Mike asked what we ever decided to do about painting the T-hangars? There was nothing definite decided. He said he thinks they need painting and that we should try and do this as Teledyne is working so hard to make things nice out there. There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
