HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-13-1971 Regular MeetingFAIRHOPE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD The Fairhope Park and Recreation Board met Wednesday, '12CZ� -�' .r 139 1971 at 7:30 P.m., at the City Hall in Fairhope, Alabama with the following present: Chairman 8. B. Shull, members: Gordon K. Burton, W. C. majors and David Stapleton. Absent: Dr. R.H. Johnson and Director Preisgen. Guests: Mrs. Welker and Mr. Lindsey representing the Adult Tourist Recreation Department. Motion by Mr. Burton to approve minutes of previous regular meeting as submitted, motion seconded by Mr. Majors. Carried. Motion by Mr. Burton, seconded by Mr. Majors to ap- prove bills for payment. Motion carried. Mr. Shull advised Board that the City Council has authorized Recreation Board to ask for bids on four concrete slabs for tennis courts, which bids will be passed on to Council for their approval. Mrs. Welker and Mr. Lindsey representing Adult Tourist group were heard. Motion by Mr. Burton, seconded by Mr. Majors to approve request of Adult Tourist Recreation for operating funds which funds are to be paid on the same basis as in pre- vious years. Motion carried. There being no further business, upon motion, seconded and carried, meeting adjourned. Next regular meeting Wednesday, November 10, 1971 at 7:30 PM. E.
