Martha Hill
Parent helpers: (volunteer) Mrs. C. Hunt, Mrs. B. Mark, Mrs.

Enrollment: 41 (plus several who whndered in once or twice, but
never got their names listed)
Everyone is eager to participate in this program again next
summer; however, lack of storage space has been a big handi-
cap in 1969 and again this summer. A four drawer, 30 inch,
legal size file cabinet with lc& would be about the best
thing aa. Something else of comparable size, perhaps biRt of
plywood, would do. The lockers secured were broken, could
not be locked, and contained too small a shelf area. Pleases
please get this before summer of 19711
We are also in need of several light -weight folding tables
which can be put up and taken down by womenand children. A
few times heavy picnic tables had been moved in before we
arrived, more often a number of children did this. They are
terribly heavy and difficult to move and took quite a beating
each time. Again, storage of foldable tables would be a
problem, but surely this can be solved fairly inexpensively.

Dear Mr. Overstreet:
We wduld like to express our appreciation to you and the members
of your league for the wonderful cooperation extended the umpires throughout
the 13 Year Old District Babe Ruth Tournament.
The fans and managers conducted themselves as perfect ladies and
gentlemen. Every player was most cooperative and at no time questioned any
of our decisions - indeed an example to all of us. The spirit of fun ex-
isted throughout the tournament. Everyone came to have a good time, and we
feel they did.
As you know the umpires called 80 games this year for the Eastern
Shore Babe Ruth League without charge. We were most happy to call these
games for our youngsters and called for them and for them only. We hope to
be able to offer these same arrangements for next year to help you in your
effort to expand and improve our baseball program.
In the same feeling of friendliness and our desire to help the
Babe Ruth of our area we render the following:
