HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-15-1970 Regular MeetingFAIRHOPE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD The Fairhope Park and Recreation Board met April 15, 1970 at 7:30 P.M., at the City Hall. members present: Chairman B.L. Shull, Dr. R. H. 4 ohnson, D. T. Chatwood, David Stapleton. Directors W. C. majors and Perry Lowery. Absent: member Burton. mose Lovett, John Robinson, Louis Agee and John Hobbs represented the Young Street Recreation Area. Motion made and seconded to approve minutes as, -recorded. Motion by Dr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Chatwood to approve bills. Motion carried unanimously. k report on the swimming pool facilities.at thb Young Street Park uas made. Rest -rooms and showers completed. Work to begin on ]rading and fencting of play area, also lighti5tfor parking area, all park and pool. notion made by Mr. Chatwood to accept recommendation of Director na jors as to -.staffing of the Young Street Recreation summer program. >r. Johnson seconded the motion, carried unanimously. Fhis being date set for opening bids on baseball equipment, the 'ollowing was received: Brannan Sporting Goods, mobile $1,09Y.25 Thoss Sporting Goods, Co. Inc. 720.40 Mobile Biggs Sporting Goods Co., Pensacola 760.85 Ir. Chatwood moved to accept low bid of Thoss Sporting Goods Co., :nc., Dr. Johnson seconded, motion carried: Irs.
