The Fairhope Park and Recreation Board met Wednesday, Jan. 14,
1970 at 7:30 iP.M., at the City Hall:
Present: Chairman B. L. Shull, members: D. T. Chatwood, R. H.
Johnson, David Stapleton.
Absent: Gordon K. Burton and Directors majors and Lowery.
Motion made and seconded to approve minutes of last regular
meeting.
Motion by Mr. Chatwood, seconded by Mr. Stapleton that bills
be approved.
Mr. Chatwood moved to allow Directors majors and Lowery $100.00
each for their extra activities and work in preparing the annual
foot -ball banquet and other work beyond their usual requirements
by the Board. Dr. Johnson seconded, motion carried unanimo8sly.
Dr. Johnson moved to pay secretary $20.00 per month. Mr. (Ihatwooc
seconded, motion carried.
Directors majors, through the Secretary, reported that Basketball
program is under way. First game to be Monday, January 19th,
Improvement at Young Street was discussed; same to be brought
before the City Council at their next regular meeting.
Markers at baseball park and pool was discussed. Secretary was
instructed to write letter to Lyons Club apologizing for delay,
and for their appreciation for this donation of materials used.
There being no further business to come before the board, meeting
adjourned.

your generous gift to the Greeno Park Site. We

officially named "Greeno Perk" which will come be-
foretthe City Council so that final lettering will
be installed.
