HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-26-1969 Special MeetingFAIRHOPE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD The Fairhope Park and Recreation Board met in Special Session Wednesday, February 26, 1969 at 7:30 P.M., with the following present: Chairman Shull, members Stipes, Johnson, Chatwood, and Burton. Purpose of meeting, to open sealed bids on rapid -rate filter sys- tem for swimming pool and any other business which might come before the board. The following bids were received: Seablue Corporation, Metairie, La.; Seablue rapid -rate -filter system delivered to site: $2,250.00 Not including installation. Gordon Bailey, Mobile, Alabama: rapid -rate system including installation `$29322.48 Motion by Mr. Burton, seconded by Dr. Johnson to recommend to City Council to accept low bid of Gordon Bailey. Motion carried. Mr. Burton moved to purchase two ping-pong tables and three basket- balls for Young Street Center. Motion seconded by Mr. Stipes, carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Stipes, seconded by Mr. Chatwood to adjourn. Motion carried.
