Mr. Bart Starr
Green Bay Packers
Green Bay, Wisc.
Dear Mr. Starr:
As you have many fans hereoon the Eastern Shore
and have been followed very closely throughout your
career at the University of Alabama; the City Recrea-
tion Department of Fairhope wish to make a request.
We have over 300 boys ages 8 to 14 who are parti-
cipating in the football program which coverssall the
Eastern Shore and who have been for some time. These
boys help to develope our high school teams, even6bally
are given scholarships to colleges.
At the close of each season we sponeor a banquet
for players and parents at which time a trophy is
awarded to the most outstanding player who is chosen
by the teams. This brings up the question of a tro-
phy for this year. We therefore would be greatful
(if at all possible) if you could have a football auto-
graphed by each Green Bay Player; this to be our trophy
which would be a more memorable prize.
Let us know if there is a cost and we will be glad
to send you the money.
Wishing you continued
feel that a player such as
of football whdt it is.
JAS/es
success in your career, we
yourself has made the game
Sincerely yours,
J. A. Stipes, Member Recreation
Board and Councilman, City of
