at 8:00 AM at the City Administration Building, 161 N. Section Street
Present: Chairman Sue Mason; members Jeanette Puckett, Robert
Coiling, Andy Huggins, Bill Payne. Secretary Betty
Rivenbark.
The minutes the June 28, 1995 were duly approved as written.
On the airport project, Sue reported that it is about 90% complete.
That the rain has caused a few delays but that they do not wish
to go into overage as then it will be costing them money. The
condition of the road was discussed and Sue said they are suppose
to fix it back to original condition before project completed.
Teledyne report - Sue reported that they will be starting work
in the big hangar, first they will be doing the inside of the big
building and pilot's lounge. She reported that ADEM is the hangup
and as soon as they get their permit then they will take over. That
in the big building they will gut it and create classes, offices, re-
ception areas and catered dining room. She said they are very
much aware of Reed at the airport. She said 2 things she mentioned
to them was Paul staying and working with them and Reed. As
a time frame she mentioned them hopefully being operational by 9.30/95.
Further discussion followed on what they plan as far as business and
building renovation. Toney Gee(Reed's pilot) asked who they should
talk to about problems - the best way would be them and then us if
not satisfied.
Dr. Eubanks' letter(in file) was discussed. Several had asked pilots
about striping and no one else had reported a problem with it at all.
He was written a response saying this would be discussed at the meeting.
Clark Aviation - Sue reported that we had been dropped from the judges
calendar and have now been added to Judge Bashab's court cases and
this should be coming up in October. The question was asked how
much does he owe us and the answer being 90,000 plus damages which
runs about 115-200,000.
