HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-08-1967 Regular Meeting0 FAIRHOPE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD The Fairhope Park and Recreation Board met Wednesday, November 8, 1967 at 7:30 p.m., at City Hall with the following present: Chairman Shull, members Stipes, Chatwood, Johnson and director Coach Majors. Absent: Mr. Burton Minutes of previous meeting approved as written. Dr. Johnson moved to approve bills Mr. Chatwood seconded, motion carried. Mr. Stipes moved to present each Tiny Mite team with sportsman- ship trophy. Mr. Chatwood seconded, motion carried. Football banquest was discussed, same to be held on November 99 1967. Guest speaker to be Lt. Roger Staubauch who is All American at Annapolis Academy and holder of the Heisman Trophy. Motion by Mr. Chatwood, seconded by Mr. Stipes that Lt. Staubauch's expenses be paid by Board. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Stipes seconded by Mr. Chatwood to pay Wanda Suggs a total of $75.00 for work at Young Street Recreation Center. Motion carried. Chairman Shull presented to Board a proposed operating budget, which budget will be reviewed by City Council before action taken. There being no further business, meeting adjourned.
