Chatwood Members absent: Mr. G. K. Burton Guests: Mr. J. W. Lipscomb, Coach W. C. majors, Coach Perry Lowery, and mr. Wainwright. Motion by Mr. Chatwood that the minutes be approved as recorded. Dr. Johnson seconded. motion carried. Financial statement was discussed. Motion by Mr. Stipes, seconded by Dr. Johnson that the bills be approved as listed. motion carried. Mr. J. W. Lipscomb introduced a discussion of a Driver Training Program which could be adapted as a part of the Recreation Program. Motion by Dr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Stipes that the Recreatior Board work with Fairhope High School in establishing and organizing a Driver Training Program. motion carried. Motion by Mr. Chatwood, seconded by Dr. Johnson that the City Clerk be authorized to cash S10,100.00 in Recreation savings certificates. motion carried. Mr. Wainwright, operator of a traveling skating rink, asked permission to locate the rink on the northeast corner of Stimpson Field. The Board agreed to notify him of their deciabn at an early date. Coach W. C. majors and Coach Perry Lowery reported on the progress of the Summer Program.
