Regular meeting date of second Wednesday of each month post-
poned to this date for January meeting only.
Motion by Dr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Burton that the minutes
of previous meeting be approved as recorded. motion carrie d.
Motion by Mr. Stipes, seconded by Mr. Chatwood that no Recreation
Board bills be paid until approved by the Board. motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Burton, seconded by Dr. Johnson that the bills be
approved as corrected. motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Burton, seconded by Mr. Chatwood that the fol-
lowing resolution be adoptedQe-� �';;-dud G�
RESOLUTION I
WHEREAS: The City of Fairhope Recreation Board
receives fonds in accordance with existing ordin-
ances which levy certain partial tax_e.s on beer, and
Cigarettes for the sole purpose of operating and
funding a recreation program. Be It Therefore Re-
solved that these funds be used as so designated
to operate the program as stipulated in the Or-
dinances. Be It Further Resolved that any ex-
isting resolutions or motions stating otherwise
shall be dissolved by this motion from hence
forth. Be It Fur ther Resolved that the secre-
tary inform the City Clerk and all interested
parties of this action to eliminate all possible
misunderstandings.

Chairman placed on file list of cost estimates and requirements
for baseball field.
Coach majors turned in report on basketball program; also prices
on baseball uniforms and equipment. He was authorized to obtain
bids on needed uniforms (baseball), and equipment.
Motion by Mr. Stipes, seconded by Mr. Chatwood that total salaries
of $100400 for custodians of gymnasium during basketball season
be approved for payment. motion carried.
Mr. Belew, Little League President requested Board to investi-
gate need for liability insurance; also informed Board that
franchise fee of $42.00 is now due. motion by Mr. Stipes, secon-
ded by Dr. Johnson that Little League franchise fee of $42.00
be approved for immediate payment. motion carried.
Claude Arnold apprA red before Board with brochure on model
recreation building. Mr. Arnold was commended for his interest
in this matter and was assured the Board would investigate.
Mr. Stipes invited the Recreation Board to meet informally with
City Council on Friday, January 28, 1966.
There being no further business upon motion, seconded, meeting
adjourned.
