HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-08-1965 Regular MeetingRECREATION BOARD September 8, 1965 7 :30 P. M. - City Hall Present: Mr. Shull, Mr. Stipes, Dr. Johnson, Mr. Burton, Mr. Majors. Absent: Mr. Chatwood. Minutes of previous meeting approved as written. A general discussion of the financial statement followed. Mr. Burton moved, Mr. Stipes seconded, that Chairman Shull address the City Council regarding Fairhope Single Tax Corpor- ation rent reduction for Stimpson Field. Motion carried. Dr. Johnson moved, Mr. Stipes seconded that the bills be approved as listed. Notion carried. Mr. Shull announced that the Recreation Board would meet with the City Council on Monday, September 13. The Chairman discussed drafting a. letter to Mr. W. C. McGowin regarding lease of band hall on Morphy Avenue for use in the Recreation Program. NEW BUSINESS: A letter of resignation from the Secretary was read. by Mr. Shull. Mr. Stipes moved., Mr.. Burton seconded to appoint Mrs. Eloise T. Wilson as Secretary of the Recreation Board. Motion carried. Plans for the City Football Program were discussed. Dr. Johnson moved, Mr. Burton seconded to appropriate $500.00 for the Football Program. Motion carried. Or. Johnson moved to adjourn. Mr. Stipes seconded. Motion carried.
