Guests: Mr. Leo Dekle, Mr. Byrne, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Neil Mossholder. Mr. Poser introduced a set of plans prepared by Mr. Leo Dekle for the Fairhope Municipal Park Swimming Pool, Mr. Dekle stated that this pool has an expansion possibilit of about 20% and will accommodate (at 27 sq. ft. per person 150 people in the water and a total of 450 people in the area of the pool. Mr. Neil Mossholder discussed necessary legal action, relocation feasibility, and outlined the location of the pool on the overall preliminary plan as prepared by Bateman & Associates. Cost quoted by Modern Industries, Inc. at $54,340.00 -- with 7 weeks average construction period a d a year's guarantee. Ensneering fees were estimated at 935.00 per trip - approximately $290.000 . Mr. Wakefield moved, Mr. Cotten seconded, that the following Resolution be adopted: RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED that the Recreation Board of the Cit f Fairhope does her b a ceppt the contract of Modern Industrioes, Inc in the amount of 154 3NO.00 for the constructior� of a swimmi h in accordance with pans and specifications 51194 subject tofhepoo approval of Robert S. Bateman & Associates and that all necessary legal and engineering safeguards are taken. Motion carried unanimously. Lighting on the Little League ballfield was discussed. It was determined that 4 lights should be moved. Mr. Kamper discussed Colored Restroom facilities and suggested painting and fixing up existing facilities. Mr. Kamper moved, Mr. Bailey seconded, to spend up to $500.00 to obtain use of the Colored restrooms. Motion carried. The contract with Modern Industries, Inc. for construction of the swimming pool was then signed by Mr. Poser and Mr. Bailey. Meeting adjourned. M. Hanby Secretary
