Mr. Anderson outlined his proposed Summer Program., Work on the grounds, increased reaction from interest survey, and personnel were discussed. A copy of this report to be filed with minutes., NEW BUSINESS: The Board recognizedM�" " � who spoke in behalf of the Public Library. Also present was Mr., Peyton Walker representing Rotary, who was also interested in seeing that the Library be reopened. Mr. Byrne reported his conversation with Dr. Gaston and outlined that he mentioned that the Fairhope Single Tax Corp. was not in a position of move on the previous proposal and suggested the Committees get together again and make another pproposal. The two problems involved are personnel and money. Dr. Gaston further stated that he did not think it should be a Joint operation. Mr. Poser discussed the original proposal of the Colony and the City and suggested that the City's Library Committee meet with the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation repvesentatives and work out an agreement for keeping the Library adequately staffed and furnished with necessary funds. Mr. Bailey moved, Mr,- Wakefield seconded, to allocate 0500,00 to be used if necessary as eaergency fund by the City's Library Committee for the purpose of providing an instructor for Recreational reading. Carried. - A general discussion of the Library followed. The Courier's "Name the Park Contest" was discussed but no action taken. Mr. Anderson reported that the Public Building Authority was in progress. Mr. Poser discussed the proposed new County gymnasium facilities for the high school., Mr. Schneider suggested a out in gym facilities on Greeno Road property because of this newly planned gym•' Mr. Bailey moved that the meeting adjourn.
