HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-10-1994 Regular MeetingThe Airport Board of the City of Fairhope met Monday, October 10, 1994 at the City Administration Building, 161 N. Section Street Present: Chairman Sue Mason; members Andy Huggins, Jeanette Puckett, Robert Coiling, Bill Payne, Mike Baugh. The minutes of the September 12 meeting were duly considered and approved as w-itten. A financial statement was given. The board listened to Elizabeth Dunkel of Prestige Air who was back again this month to tell of the misfortune she had in losing her client. She presented some information to the board where she is now seeking air charters from other sources. She said she can also do ambulance flying. She was encouraged to continue to pursue these avenues and the board will pass the word when they can. Ms. Mason talked to the board about a proposal that was supposed to be submitted by Blast Off, Inc./Tom Meacham who wanted to rent space for one month to do government contract work. When Mr. Meacham was asked to submit a lease it was learned that he did not actually have the contract but was hoping to get it. We are still waiting to hear back from him. We had also received a letter from Mr. John Cameron about renting the south paint hangar for an aircraft painting operating. Ms. Mason relayed to the board that she expecting several other potential lessees to come forth in the next month and would like for the board to delay action for a month. Bill Payne moved to table this proposal for 1 month to see what is forthcoming in that time. Buzz Coiling seconded and motion passed unanimously. Ms. Mason reported on the receival of the grant, execution of same and that we are in the process now of getting the contractor to start work, getting all his paperwork in order and submitted. Ms. Mason reported that the papers have been filed by the city attorney and the case is being handled by him. There being no further business to discuss meeting was duly adjourned.
