Mrs. Mason welcomed the new members Mr. Payne and Mr. Vera. A discussion was held on the removal of the chemical wastes at the airport and the bids that we have sent out. Ms. Mason explained what had transpired and the need for getting bids to remove and she was told it was on the council agenda for tonight. The reroofing of the hangar was discussed and Ms. Mason was informed that Mr. MacGregor Scoot of the movie company had requested we go ahead and send him a bill for this work. The contract that had been received from Barge, Waggoner and sent on to the members was discussed. It was considered page by page and questions asked. The questions were noted and will be sent on to the city attorney for review. After everything was considered Ms. Mason said that we can either take this to the council when it comes back from the attorney or wait and act on it again at the next meeting. All thought it could go on to the council when the lawyer finishes his review. Andy Huggins moved to forward on to city attorney for review and dependent upon his review then take on to city council for their action. Bill Payne seconded motion and it carried unanimously. Ms. Mason explained the 3 things that we are considering with the FAA application that has been submitted: ramp extension, access road and security fencing, for the benefit of the new members. Mr. Clark did come in at this time and Ms. Mason asked that he and Robert Coiling get together after the meeting to discuss what he is asking the board to consider. Mr. Clark reported that he is asking the flight school to leave from the airport. He has problems with them and they have not paid rent since they have been there. He did say that he had another school coming in - Advance Aviation - Kelly Teele. That they are operating in Mobile but will also operate in Fairhope. He reported the rotating beacon is not working. Ms. Mason said the electric department needs to be notified and they will fix it. There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
