Soccer Club/Academy: Total registered with FSC: 400-500 and with Academy: 250.
They host 2 large tournaments every year, in the Spring (90 teams) and Fall (110 teams).
Some of soccer’s priorities are new irrigation sprinklers (already in the works), additional
bathrooms and a covered space to house goals, along with weather pavilion area. Youth
Football & Cheerleading: Currently Youth Football has a Spring Flag Football Season
with 140-170 registered and a Fall Tackle Season with 170 registered and Flag Football
Season with around 16 teams. Some of youth football’s priorities include more practice
space for both tackle and flag leagues (preferably their own football complex) and a new
scoreboard for the 2nd field at Barnwell. Youth Cheerleading (for tackle football season
only) has 95 registered. Their priorities include a dedicated practice space indoors and
outdoors where all age groups can practice together . In addition to practice space, they
need some sort of storage space/shed to house all their run through banners,
megaphones, speakers, and extra clothing items. Youth Baseball: Fairhope Youth
Baseball has around 600-650 kids registered for their Spring season and 350 in their Fall
season. FYB priorities include having a fall draft each year, along with championship rings
for the players. Youth Basketball: Youth Basketball has 600 co-ed kids registered. Their
biggest priority is much needed additional gym space, as they are having to utilize both
Rec Center gyms and all 3 elementary school gyms. Youth Softball: Youth Softball has
107 registered for their Spring season and 80% of those are Fairhope kids . The other
20% is made of kids from all over Baldwin County. Youth Softball’s priority is to have the
rest of their parking lot at Founders paved, along with adding a new batting cage there
and updating their existing one. FAST Swim: FAST Swim typically has around 350
registered, including a State high school swimmer and diver . FAST Priority is to be able
to have an indoor pool that would consist of a diving well, so that they can start hosting
sectional meets and our divers will not have to travel to and from Mobile to practice.
