October 7, 1991 at 5:00 p.m. at the City Administration Building, 161 N.
Section Street
Present: Chairman Richard Sanderson; members Maxwell Killoch, Cecil
Pitman, Cindy McBrearty, William Richmond, Tim Kant, John Duck,
James P. Nix, William Lucey. Robert Lunsford, Zoning Enforce-
ment Officer and Betty Rivenbark, Secretary
The minutes of the September 10, 1991 meeting were approved as written
on motion by Maxwell Killoch, seconded by Tim Kant and unanimously carried.
McKean Beach subdivision a 4 lot red ivision application of George McKean
on his property located z mile South of the Grand Hotel, the west half of
Lot 10 of the Troost survey of the Point Clean tract. There are already
two structures existing on lot 1. Mr. Lunsford's comments were asked for
and he said he had examined the plat and recommends preliminary and final
approval subject to the following: 1. All signatures required on plat 2.
vicinity map on plat 3. Designation of flood zone/s on plat 4. approval
of sanitary disposal system 5. County Engineer's approval. Mr. Lunsford
said he and Mr. Moore had talked and that most of these things had already
been done. Mr. Moore said that all lots meet the 1500 sq. ft. requirement and
they had the vicinity map and signatures on the plat have applied for health
department approval and Mr. Dorgan will sign when they get that. Mr. Kant
questioned the drive down to the other lots. He was told that even though
it was not shown on the plat there is an easement that runs all the way down
to the front of the property. Maxwell Killoch moved to approve the subdivisior
as requested subject to all Bob's items being met. Seconded by Tim Kant
motion carried with William Richmond opposed.
At this time a sketch plan was presented by Mike Arnold for a 78 lot
subdivision located on the west side of Hwy 27 called Hwy. 27 South,3/4 mi N
Bob recommended an additional 10 ft. easement on the lots. Mr. Arnold said
although this not shown he had no problems with adding it. Mr. Arnold said
he was just here today to get input, see how it looks to the commission.
William Lucey moved to encourage him to proceed with note of Bob's comment
about the easement. Maxwell Killoch seconded and motion carried unanimously.
An election of officers for the coming year was held. Cecil Pitman moved
that we have the same slate of officers by acclamation. They are: Richard
Sanderson, Chairman; William Lucey, Vice -Chairman and Cindy McBrearty,
Secretary. John Duck seconded motion and it carried unanimously.
There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
