Administration Building, 161 N. Section St. at 5:00 p.m.
Present: Chairman Richard Sanderson, members John Duck,
Cindy McBrearty, Cecil Pitman, Maxwell Killoch, Tim Kant
Wm. C. Lucey
The minutes of the April 1 meeting were considered and approved on
motion by William Lucey, seconded by Maxwell Killoch and unanimously
approved.
A sketch plan review was being presented tonight of Mr. Bill Pulliam
for a 9 lot subdivision at Point Clear(old Meador property) . Bob related
that it was on the west side of 98 a little south of Twin Beach Road.
Two plans had been brought to the meeting by Seth Moore, Sam Irby
and Frank Parker and there was a question about a road that is shown
on the tax map, Sam Irby related that no one can say where it. came from,
it just showed up and that he has petitioned them to remove the road,
not vacate it as it was never dedicated. There was a question too, of
whether there would be 8 or 9 lots depending on the road decision.
Mr. Irby said the County Commission agreed with him that the road
has never been dedicated. Tim pointed out that the fire department
would need a turn around area and if they were going to have underground
utilities they would need 10 ft. for utility easement. Bob pointed out that
there were several lots with less than the 125 feet of frontage required but
if the commission wished they could grant a variance on these, that they
had plenty of footage in the lots themselves. Seth related that they plan
to pave the road with curb and gutter and have a 372 ft cul-de-sac.
Further discussion led to a motion by Cecil Pitman, seconded by Maxwell
Killoch to encourage the continuance of the deveopment with possibly
preliminary plans presented at next meeting.
Mr. Sanderson informed the commission of a public forum that will be held
at the Trade Center by the Coastal Resource Advisory Commision at 7:00 p.m.
on Wednesday May 8th if anyone is interested in attending.
There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
