Section Street Present: Cindy McBrearty(who served as Chairman) Tim Kant, William Richmond, Roy White and Maxwell Killoch The minutes of the November 6, 1989 meeting were considered and approved as written on motion by Tim Kant, seconded by William Richmond and unanimously carried. There was no one present to discuss the issues of rezoning for George Klumpp property, Dian Arnold re -zoning or R-2 zoning request of Tom Brown concurrent with annexation. The Commission felt that it would be best to postpone action for 30 days to have the principals present when this is discussed. This was put in the form of a motion by William Richmond, seconded by Maxwell Killoch and unanimously carried. Mr. Lunsford brought to the Board's attention a loophole in the ordinance in Section 7.851(2) regarding temporary signs. That it needed amending and he is suggesting that this be considered today. 7.851 reads: The following to be removed or made to conform to this Ordinance with in 90 days: (1) Non -conforming signs made of paper, cloth of other non -durable material (2) All temporary signs other than those permitted herein He wishes to amend (2) to read: All temporary signs other than those permitted herein and all portable signs. Bob related that he was having trouble with some of the businesses as they felt their portable signs were grandfathered in and this would close that loophole. Maxwell Killoch moved to have a public hearing in 30 days to consider this amendment to the ordinance. Tim Kant seconded and motion carried unanimously. There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned. Note: Mrs. Arnold came in after the meeting was adjourned and informally discussed her request for R-6 zoning for her property. Discussion led to a decision to allow for the 30 days before any action taken.
