Section Street, Fairhope, Alabama Present: Maxwell Killoch, Chairman; members Cindy McBrearty, Cecil Pitman, Tim Kant, E.B. Gwin, William Lucey, Richard Sanderson The minutes of the February 2, 1987 meeting were approved as written on motion by Cindy McBrearty, seconded by E.B. Gwin and unanimously carried. Katie Myers had made a request of the Commission to divide one existing lot into two on her property located on Gayfer Street Extension. Mr. Killoch asked Mr. Lunsford if he had any comments regarding this. He replied that under the Attorney General's ruling this would be allowed and what Mrs. Myers was doing was trying to provide in the future a lot for her granddaughter, no further division planned. Cecil Pitman moved to approve request, Tim Kant seconded and motion carried unanimously. The Commission discussed a sketch plan review of the Julio Corte property at Plantation Pointe shopping center. Ack Moore was present to discuss this. He pointed out a temporary turn around that was planned and possibly be extended in the future to a road cutting through Freddie's property if/when he develops it. Mr. Moore answered questions from the Commission about what proposed. The Commission pointed out that they did not agree with the service road as drawn and suggested he design a different way to run road so it would not cut into dedicated green belt area. Mr. Moore said he would do more work on it. Ack further said they did not have to have a street access on Edwards Ave. but he would like to hold it open at this time. He said when he comes back with preliminary plans he will have drainage plans also. Mr. Killoch said that he wished to see a design where the green belt is preserved. Mr. Moore said that this is what he needed to know. Mr. Moore asked Commission to look at a sketch plan for a 36 lot subdivision being planned by Paul Frederick that will run off of Bon Secour Avenue. It is in an R-2 zone. Bob said he had looked at the sketch plan and saw no problem with what planned. The Commission offered that there were about 4 lots that looked small on the curves, would he consider combining these and just have fewer lots in the subdivision. Mr. Frederick said he appreciated the Commission's input. There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
