Members present: Mr. Lacey, Dr. Mullins, and Mr. Byrne
The minutes of June 21 and June 25 were read and approved.
The Board discussed the stationery but no action was taken.
Mr. Byrne reported that letters had been sent to some of
the area airports: 1tmore, Bay Plinette, Brewton, and
Demopolis. Also, that a letter was sent to A.O.P.A. re-
questing general information.
Dr. Mullins noted the letter of June 28, 1963 from Mr. Abe
A. Yeager, District Airnort Enrineer, concurring in the
contract of Williams & Router. He also noted the Grant
Offer in the amount of ;152, 400.00.
Dr. Mullins read the Grant Offer and the FAA letter of
July 1, 1963.
Mr. Lacey suggested that a letter be sent to the FAA asking
for a copy of the regulations referred to in the Grant Offer.
Dr. Mullins introduced a booklet entitled "Labor 'standards
and Enforcement Procedures."
The agenda for the City Council meeting of July 8 was dis-
cussed and Dr. Mullins stated the action that should be taken
concerning the Air-ort.
(1) Get resolution passed referring to
Grant Offer.
�23 Sign contract with "lilliams & Bouler.
3 Sign Mr. /loore's supplemental contract.
The bill for the Title I nsurmnce from Mr. Owens was briefly
discussed.
The letter of June 27 from the State Department of aeronautics
stating their approval of the contract awarding to Williams
& Bouler was noted.
Dr. Mullins discussed the bill from Mr. Rickarby. Mr. Lacey
moved that bill be ap-roved. Mr. Pyrne seconded. Carried.
Dr. Mullins suggested that a photographer be rt the City
Council meetinn on July 8, 1963 to take pictures of the signing
of thF contract. I t was agreed that Mr. Byrne should be
responsible for securing such person or persons.
Dr. Mullins motioned that ting be adjourned. Mr. Byrne
seconded. Carried.
