McBrearty, John Parker, Dick Sanderson, Roy White,

The minutes of the February 1 meeting were approved as written
on motion by Jack Kirk, seconded by Harrell Holder and unan-
imously carried.
The rezone application of Mrs. Florence Roberts for her proper-
ty located at 717 Morphy Avenue from R-2 to B-4 was considered,
Betty Barnhill spoke for Mrs. Roberts ...identifying the propert-
for the members. Harrell Holder said he felt it was just a
matter of time until this area became commercial as this seemec
feasible with the hospital being located across the street,
that B-4 was fairly restrictive. John Parker said he did not
agree with this statement, that it is totally inconsistant
with the zoning plan, surrounding the hospital with business,
and that there was land already zoned commercially north of
hospital's location. He also pointed out the 30 foot buffer
zone required when Dr. Diegmann built his offices, with en-
trance/exit limited to Ingleside. That on the other side of
Morphy there are residences only and it should stay that way.
Roy White put in the form of a motion advertising this for
public hearing at the April 5, 1982 meeting. Jack Kirk seconde<
and motion carried unanimously.
John Parker said the Commission had to get to work on establisl
ing a plan on the property on the edge of town, that we need
to complete the present land use map. Bob Lunsford said he
had taken the map over to Don Pruitt and he is in the process
of preparing base maps, that he needs to go through and check
the streets.
John also asked Bob if Louis Girdler had any plans to plant
any shrubbery along the fence line at the Windward Village Condo.
at Volanta & S. Section Sts. Bob said Mr. Altmayer indicated
that he was going to plant something.
Bob passed out a revised 60.312 pertaining to new amended ordiz
The Commission discussed at length the upcoming appeals case of
Mr Cummings applying for a variance(hardship) in order to
park his 18 wheeler at his residence. Roy said this change
in the amended ordinance did place a hardship on owners of
corner lots and he wished some input from the Commission on
this situation. John Parker remarked that it seemed there
were only two options, let the amendment stand, and appeal
hardship to Adjustment Board individually, or change the law
again and add screen from view by solid natural planting.
There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
